I am based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
I have worked for many years as a graphic artist and
illustrator, working for various companies throughout
the UK. I have recently made the decision to devote
myself full time to my own painting and illustration.
My work is influenced by organic forms and textures,
but usually motivated by combinations of colours.
I work primarily in acrylic or watercolour, sometimes
combining them with other media. Although my illustrations
are realistic, my recent works have mainly been stylised
or abstract. I love to experiment and I find this
type of painting very exciting.
I have produced many commissions over the years, ranging
in subject matter from animals, local distilleries,
oil industry tools, landscapes, abstracts and even
a completely hand crafted and illustrated story book,
which was commissioned to celebrate a baby’s
birth.
