Ireland before settling in Cheshire. He specialises
in watercolours and his subjects are wide and varied,
but mainly landscapes, seascapes and buildings. Portraits,
caricatures and cartoons are also included in his portfolio. |

Barker was born in Kenya where she took a commercial
art course for three years in Nairobi. She later went
to live in Egypt for ten years where she took up oil
painting, depicting the picturesque local people and
scenery, and selling mainly for the tourist trade. Since
returning to this country to settle, she has taken up
watercolours and collage. |

30 years ago after leaving Ravensbourne College of Art and Design, with a Dip A D in Vocational Graphics, Margaret became a Graphic Designer, working in several studios in Kent and London. After a break in being creative, when life took over for a while, Margaret is now exploring Plants and Flowers as subjects for her watercolours. She favours detail, but keeps the painting light so as not to lose the delicate nature of the plant. |
