Ken's interpretations of chosen scenes adhere closely to reality, with considerable attention to detail, while allowing himself the liberty to modify tones and colours to reflect particular seasons and times of day. Living close to the North York Moors, Ken has enjoyed painting many views of coastal villages, where the quality of light is particularly appealing, and well suited to his preferred medium of watercolours. |

Stephen enjoys everything
about oils (including the smell) and the medium seems
to best suit his style of painting. Many of Stephen's
paintings are landscapes or seascapes of the beautiful
local scenery and he loves to use bright and vibrant
colours in his work. Stephen has also painted other
subjects, including a number of commissions. |

| Barbara
Craig |
Trained as a fashion
designer Barbara's love of the feminine form is evident
in her work, whether it be figurative, floral or landscape
she does not feel compelled to be truthfully representational
but will treat the subject with a sensuous, sinuous
touch. Barbara is attracted to a bold use of colour
and graphic shapes. |
