Dennis
Davis, former art teacher & semi-retired photographer,
lives in Devon where he enjoys painting, mainly in watercolour,
but with occasional ventures into oils & pastels.
John is now retired and his work is mainly watercolour landscapes and buildings, with some in pen and wash, and also some pen and ink drawings. John has been doing watercolours for about ten years, and the majority of his initial paintings or colour sketches are in situ, as John's personal outlook is that “on site” paintings tend to capture the mood of a subject more accurately than later studio work, or work from photographs.
Celia paints whatever
interests her, but has to try to vary her work as she doesn't like to get stuck in a
rut. Although Celia has painted in most mediums she prefers to use Acrylics,
she likes strong colour. Celia hopes that when others look at her work they
feel something that she has tried to convey when painting the picture.
Martin
has been paitning since 1998, full time since 2003.
He is currently working in mainly in watercolours, with
some adhoc paintings in acrylics, oils and mixed media.
Jan
Drury is an abstract artist who uses various types of
medium to create detailed artwork. She builds up the
piece by placing layers on top of each other. The aim
is to create work that has some depth and that the viewer
can look into.
When
it comes to art, Wendy's preferred styles are abstract
and surrealism, and her graphic design background also
influences her work. Wendy tends to just paint things
she likes, reproducing the visions in her head. There
are usually no hidden messages in her work; she am more
concerned with aesthetics.
Mark Duffin has been working as a freelance illustrator since 1982. In that time he has worked across a wide field of projects in publishing , advertising & design.

Art has always played an important role in Linda's life, starting with crayons and paper as a toddler, then watching her father doing his pen and ink sketches. Linda was bought oil paints at 15 and enjoyed them until she discovered watercolours which she stayed using for many years.
About 6 years ago Linda watched Bob Ross and his technique of "liquid" oils really appealed to her. It gave her the fluidity and colour she likes with the addition of being able to use small brushes for detail.
