Landscape
and texture also influences me greatly, especially desert
and arid landscapes. Katherine's work is always evolving
and changing, until the painting takes no more of her,
but becomes "itself", existing in its own
right.
Sarah
took up painting two years ago when she decided to get
out of the ‘rat race’ and focus on something
that felt more natural. Painting, for Sarah, is a way
of escaping everything and the only true channel she
has found for concentrating her energies entirely on
one thing. Sarah only paints in oils as she finds oil
paint so versatile and vibrant, and of course, it lends
itself so well to portraiture.
Diane
trained at the Ruskin School of Fine Art in Oxford and
now live and work in North Wales. Diane uses oil paint
on canvas and is interested in the relationship between
colour and tone. Diane has exhibited both abstract and
figurative work locally as well as having exhibitions
on colour interaction.
