John
was taught to draw by his father, an accomplished artist
in his own right. Aged 27 John travelled around the
world and studied art for three and a half years in
NSW Australia, specialising in portraiture and figurative
work.
Karen paints traditional landscapes in pure watercolour,
and have found the work of the Victorian watercolour
artists to be very inspirational. She also paints
slightly abstracted landscapes and tree and flower
paintings using watercolour and acrylic inks for bolder
colour mixes.
Ian
Renwick is an artist who lives and works in Edinburgh,
and has painted now for over twenty years. His main
interest is in the landscape, with varying light and
weather conditions, which is a constant inspiration
through the changing seasons.
Jan
is an Edinburgh based artist. She attended various courses
at the Edinburgh College of Art - Dept of Continuing
Studies, having originally graduated from The Scottish
College of Textiles in Galashiels, where I studied a
4 year marketing and design course in clothing and fashion.
After
completing a textiles and design course with the Open
College of Arts, Sandy realised she was intrigued by
the marks made on paper for the design. Sandy works
with acrylics, pastels, textiles and photographs and
she always 'abstract' a section or part of something
that appeals to her.
Maria
Rodina, who lives in Scotland at the moment, was born
and educated in Tallinn (Estonia). Her work is mostly
abstract, she interperts the surrounding world according
to her vision attempting to create unique combination
of shapes and colours.
John
Routledge lives and works in Somerset. He originally
trained at Carlisle and Manchester Colleges of Art where
he specialised in printmaking. More recently he has
concentrated on producing creative interpretations in
acrylics, pastel and charcoal depicting the human figure.
He has exhibited in the South West.
Ken
is a self taught artist. Born in Manchester but now
living on the coast of north wales, Ken has always drawn
in pencil all his life, but about 10 years ago he started
painting in oils. Ken has always loved ships and the
sea and painting them of course.
