My name is Chris Chalk and I live
in west Wales.
As a child growing up on a farm in Wales I was always
very interested in wildlife of all kinds and have
enjoyed drawing and painting as far back as I can
remember. In 1981 I attended a children’s art
holiday at the Slimbridge wildfowl and wetland Trust
which fuelled my passion further.
As I grew up and left school however life got in the
way of my painting and I didn’t pick up a brush
again until 2004 on returning to Wales from Australia
where I had been living for five years.
These days I paint a variety of subjects from seascapes
to portraits, but still love to paint all kinds of
wildlife.
My paintings are in private collections in Australia,
New Zealand, the USA and Great Britain.
I paint most days and still get as excited now as
I did as a child when I reach for my brushes.
I love it!
