I was born 1953 in Nottingham, East
Midlands, where I have lived and worked most of my
life.
I have been painting seriously since 2001 and as
a result found it necessary to gain The Fine Art Trade
Guild qualification as a Guild Commended Framer: the
price of having paintings framed on the high street
was not an option for me.
From very early on as a child I have drawn things
around me, as doodles using pen/pencil. Over the years
I have worked in water colour, pastels, Indian ink,
and of course oils, which is my favourite medium.
I also do pencil Portraits.
Landscapes and seascapes in oils make up a large
part of my work. But, if something inspires me I will
paint it, what ever it may be!
Being colour blind has made for some amusing outcomes
on many pictures: greens, blues and browns need some
supervision from my family!
