Dave's work covers a wide spectrum- mainly watercolour but also acrylic, pastel, ink and pencil. He has recently begun to paint in oils. His experience is wide as he continues to work with local art groups and societies demonstrating and leading workshops in a variety of techniques covering any subject that takes his imagination or that of the groups' members.
Now retired from teaching/tutoring, Peter is presently engaged on his own artwork concentrating on figurative studies and maritime themes, painting and drawing in all media. He exhibits his work in several West Country Galleries/websites and has paintings and drawings in numerous private collections in the U.K. and abroad, representing a lifetime's work.
Ken's interpretations of chosen scenes adhere closely to reality, with considerable attention to detail, while allowing himself the liberty to modify tones and colours to reflect particular seasons and times of day. Living close to the North York Moors, Ken has enjoyed painting many views of coastal villages, where the quality of light is particularly appealing, and well suited to his preferred medium of watercolours.
Brian Gosling Light and shade has fascinated Brian ever since he picked up his first pencil and started drawing as a child. Brian soon learnt that the most wonderful method of expressing light and shade was via the human form. Brian's art now takes light and shade to it’s extreme. Apart from male and female figures, he also paints portraits of personalities.
Susan Harvey Susan is greatly influenced and inspired by nature and the human condition. The paintings exhibited in this gallery are an eclectic group of domesticated animals, landscape vistas, and textured abstracts. Much of Susans work is derived from photographs and memories of a particular scene or animal.
