I am 60
years of age and have recently retired. I started painting
and sketching at a very early age, and my work was displayed
in my school for many years. I received the Art Prize
on leaving school, and took my GCE O and A levles before
leaving.
I spen one year at the local Art College,
before marrying and having my first child. I started
painting again at the age of 27 and rented a studio
in Cornwall. I was there for two years, in which time
I painted and sold a great deal of work, and took commissions.
My work was also displayed in a gallery in Looe, Cornwall
for a time. I then had my second child, and picked up
my painting again when I moved to Dawlish in Devon 15
years ago.
Over the past year I have joined 3
Art Groups, one in Teignmouth and two in Dawlish and
sold several paintings in the Annual exhibitions.
My mediums are Oils, Acrylics, Pen
and Wash and Pencil. My subjects are varied as I like
a challange, but I do seem to enjoy painting the local
scenes, as Dawlish and the surrounding areas are very
beautiful. |
