Janette Court has lived in Derbyshire for seventeen
years. The local landscapes with contrasts of lush
green fields and meadows to the wind swept high moor
lands and plateaus inspired her love of drawing and
painting.
She started painting professionally in the late 1990’s
and has sold many paintings that are in private collections
in the United Kingdom, also sold at craft fairs and
via the Internet. Paintings have been contributed
for competition prizes, including BBC Radio Derby.
The medium of watercolours suits the style she has
developed over the years which is impressionist. Her
paintings make a good contribution to any room and
they communicate the best that she sees in the landscape
