I was taught to draw by my father,
an accomplished artist in his own right. Serving a
five year apprenticeship in freehand lettering on
leaving school, I learned brush control and a real
eye for detail and proportion.
Aged 27 I travelled around the world
and studied art for three and a half years in NSW
Australia, specialising in portraiture and figurative
work. I now live and work in surrey, working by commission
and selling through recommendation.
I like my work to have a sense of
freedom about them, which I achieve with bold brush
strokes and vivid colours.
