Born 1959 in Hastings East Sussex
I have lived and worked in and around the area for
most of my life, loving the fact that from here we
have access to some of the most beautiful and inspiring
countryside with the added bonus of the ever changing
coastline.
After studying a foundation Art course at Hastings
college I traded full time Art for the all consuming
occupation of raising a family .
During that time I still painted and enjoyed experimenting
with different media, styles and subject matter.
In 1992 my watercolour painting “Toucan”
won the “Windsor and Newton Best Watercolour”
prize at the nationwide “P.A.W.S” exhibition
in St Albans.
I continued to exhibit in open exhibitions every year
managing to sell work to an ever growing client base.
At the end of 2006 with the prospect of impending
redundancy from my paid job I have made the long overdue
decision to move to full time Art, concentrating on
my all time love of local land and seascape.
My first major exhibition is planned for April 2007
at the White Rock Theatre gallery Hastings.
