I am a self-taught artist. As such
I have developed my skills by learning from other
artists and by visiting Art Galleries and Exhibitions
which have also helped in my understanding the history
of Art. Impressionism is a one of my favourite forms
of art work as is Turners.
From a young age I have enjoyed painting and drawing.
This started with watercolour and water soluble pencils,
I then took up painting with oils now I mainly paint
in Acrylic which I think is a wonderfully versatile
medium.
Landscapes are been a wonderful inspiration for me
as you are able to capture the sense of the place
and the light affects different times of the day provide.
I seem to be naturally drawn to water and this has
become a dominate feature in my art.
All my paintings are of places I have visited and
have wanted to capture the scene and the atmosphere
which gives me good memories of my travels.
