30 years ago after leaving Ravensbourne College of Art and Design, with a Dip A D in Vocational Graphics, I became a Graphic Designer, working in several studios in Kent and London. I have worked on a variety of styles and subjects from packaging for Care Bears to inhouse magazines for BT and Sunlife, packaging for Playdoh to tech illustrating for 3M.
After a break in being creative, when life took over for a while, I am now exploring Plants and Flowers as subjects for my watercolours. I favour detail, but keep the painting light so as not to lose the delicate nature of the plant.
I have closely observed the amazing variety of shapes and colours in nature while working as a tour guide at the Eden Project. Time spent talking about and showing people the huge collection of Plants and Trees gave me much inspiration.
