I live in Northern Ireland and am
largely self-taught. I have been intersted in art
for many years as a hobby, but have concentrated more
on my painting in the last five years, still in my
spare time.
I paint mainly in oils and currently mostly on box
canvases which I paint around the sides so that they
do not require framing. I enjoy everything about oils
(including the smell) and the medium seems to best
suit my style of painting. Many of my paintings are
landscapes or seascapes of the beautiful local scenery
and I love to use bright and vibrant colours in my
work. I have also painted other subjects, including
a number of commissions.
I exhibit at local art exhibitions and have sold
many of my paintings over the last five years.
