I am a self taught artist. The only
formal training was a course of “How to watercolour
paint” at S.C.O.L.A (Sutton college of Liberal
Arts) in 1985.
I love the flow and immediacy of watercolour painting.
I have recently found the joys of acrylic painting.
I also use collage. My range and style is very eclectic
from traditional seascapes, landscapes and florals,
to spiritual, abstract and figurative works.
I love colour and the amazing juxtaposition of colours
and tones. My work is usually very calming and uplifting
but also confrontational. They make you think and
draw you in.
I am a founder member of “Sutton Watercolourists”
(retired) and I am a member of the prestigious “Worple
Group” in Wimbledon. My works have been shown
in Figurative Gallery Richmond, A Gallery Wimbledon,
Europa Gallery Sutton, St Marks Church Wimbledon.
I am also a writer/poet and have published books
that include my artworks and photographs. Many images
can be used on gift items, cards or even calendars.
I have a large folio of works. I love a challenge
and accept commissions for work of many styles and
subjects. I also love to paint miniatures. Feel free
to contact
me and discuss your needs.
