Ian Renwick is an artist who lives
and works in Edinburgh, and has painted now for over
twenty years. He paints in oil, acrylic, and gouash
and has studied at Edinburgh College of Art on selected
courses, but is mainly self taught landscape artist
and is a member of the Pentland Art Group.
His main interest is in the landscape,
with varying light and weather conditions, which is
a constant inspiration through the changing seasons.
Recently he has found a lot of satisfaction in plein
air painting, starting and finishing a painting within
two hours, quite a challenge at times with the weather
in Scotland but very rewarding.
Ian has exhibited regularly in and
around Edinburgh, and has sold work to private collectors
all over the UK and in Australia and Canada. He likes
the idea of exhibiting and hopefully selling, on the
internet, but he will still exhibit work locally,
he finds the opportunity to meet the public and exchange
ideas can be interesting.
